Ka Te is a six-trick memory game. You get 6 cards. Survive early. Win the final reveal.

The table

6 players. Standard 52-card deck. Rank A high, 2 low. No trump. Each player receives 6 cards; the other 16 cards are unused.

Each early trick

1. The leader plays a card face up.
2. Catch: play a higher card of the same suit, face up.
3. PASS: sacrifice any card face down. Face-down cards cannot win the trick.
4. Highest face-up card of the lead suit wins and leads next.

Tricks 1–4

Win at least one early trick or you are eliminated after Trick 4. If only one player survives, they win immediately.

Trick 5 — Chưng

Only survivors play, each with 2 cards. The Trick 4 winner exposes one card as the Chưng. Others may catch (same suit, higher) or PASS one card face down. Everyone ends with exactly 1 hidden final card.

Trick 6 — Final Reveal

No choices and no PASS. The Chưng winner's remaining card is the base. Only a higher card of that same suit can beat it.

Tips

Remember suits. Save an Ace or King for the end if you already survived. Use PASS even when you could catch, if you want to hide strength.
